Jaman Tanteidan Maringumi is aired on TV Asahi every Sundays from January,10,1988 to January,1,1989 with the total of 52 Episodes . This is the eight Toei Fushigi series the last work of the Showa era. The story takes place when Five Grade 5 Students discovered U-boat Submarine from Germany and Magic Tonarigumi who has a mission to defeat the Kaito Jigoma who have evil schemes on earth. Because of this situation the five students organize the group called the Jaman Tanteidan.
Seikai Ninja Jiraiya is aired on TV Asahi every Sundays from January,24,1988 to January,22,1989 with the total of 50 Episodes . It is the different kind of Metal Hero series compare to others for dressing himself being Jiraiya instead of a henshin sequence move. The story takes place were Toha Yamaji is destined by the Togakure Ryu Ninpo to become Seikai Ninja Jiraiya to fight the Sorcerers Clan and the various Ninja Masters who prove to become the strongest Ninja in the world . Toha together with his step siblings Kei who transforms into Emiha and Manabu his younger brother , continue the Togakure Ryu Ninpo's struggle to become the strongest Ninja Academy all over the world.
Chojuu Sentai Liveman is aired on TV Asahi every Saturdays from February,27,1988 to February,18,1989 with the total of 49 Episodes. It is the 10th Super Sentai series, the first series who didn't have a movie (Same to Battle Fever J) , first animal mecha for the robot combination,first series introducing Blue Female Ranger , first two additional rangers for the Trio tag who turned into five member Sentai team and the first series that introduced the two robot combination into a powerful robot. The story takes place on the Academia the school for aspiring scientists , were the three students Kenji , Rui , and Goh leaves the Academia for their disagreement on some teaching and secretly joining the Volt Empire, later the students Yusuke , Joh , Megumi , Takuji and Mari testing the new suit for the space exploration not until they discovered Kenji and the group leaves Academia and riding on the Spaceship, on this situation Yusuke and his four classmates followed the three , not until Kenji fires a gun when the two students Takuji and Mari died while covering their three classmates resulting to their death. Because of the murder happened , Academia Professor Hoji together with Yusuke ,Joh and Megumi prepare the new project to counter attack the future invasion of Volt, not until two years 1988 , when the three graduated at Academia, the Volt suddenly attacks the Academia and the three Ex- Academia students Kenji , Rui and Goh appears and transformed into ferocious villains , for this situation Yusuke together with Joh and Megumi transforms into Liveman to fight against the Volt Empire ruled by Great Professor Bias and their former classmates (Kenji,Rui and Goh) who turned into monsters. In the middle of the series the two members Takuji's brother Tetsuya and Mari's brother Junichi to become Liveman to avenge their siblings' death and protect earth from Volt, they have the new robot Live Boxer the key for combining with Live Robo to become Super Live Robo.
Den Nou Keisatsu Cybercop is aired on NTV every Sundays from October,2,1988 to July,5,1989 with the total of 36 Episodes . It is the first Toho series in the 80's that attempts to compete with the ongoing Super Sentai series by Toei. The story takes place in the year 1999 when the Tokyo city is getting hopeless when the crime is overrun that conquers their own place even the police cannot control the danger. In order to stop this scheme , Tokyo Metropolitan Police Force organized the special task force named ZAC who developed the Cybercops lead by Shinya/Jupiter together with Akira/Mars, Ryoichi/Saturn and Osamu/Mercury to protect the city and resist the high rate of crimes.
Kamen Rider Black RX is aired on MBS every Sundays from October,23,1988 to September,24,1989 with the total of 47 Episodes. This is the direct sequel of 1987-88 Kamen Rider Black series when Minami Kotaro continues his fight being the new Kamen Rider Black RX against the new villain the Crisis Empire. After the Gorgoms fall, Minami Kotaro gets a new life being a helicopter pilot , having a girlfriend and lives with his new famiy who owned the helicopter business, not until the upcoming villain is coming to earth and faces Kotaro, however Kotaro is captured by Crisis , he attempts to transform but it fails not until he receives from the power of the sun with his new form being Kamen Rider Black RX. Now Minami Kotaro being Kamen Rider Black RX is protecting the earth against the powerful Crisis Empire.
