Hikari Sentai Maskman is aired on TV Asahi every Saturdays from February,28,1987 to February,20,1988 with the total of 51 Episodes. Commander Sugata recruits five young people who have different martial arts skills to become Hikari Sentai Maskman to fight against the Underground Empire Tube. This is the Metal Hero series who have the shortest episodes which is 39 Episodes, it is a tribute for the 1972 series Android Kikaider that commemorates its 15th anniversary at that time. The story takes place when Dr. Ryuichiro Koga designed Metalder in 1945 which is modeled to his late son Second Sub-lieutenant Tatsuo Koga to be a top secret weapon during the World War II, After 42 Years Dr. Ryuichiro Koga returns in Japan because he knows the secret about the invasion of Neros Empire and revives Metalder after he killed, When Metalder revives he vengeance the death of Dr. Koga and swear to crush the evil empire, Metalder's human name is Ryusei Tsurugi.
Kamen Rider Black is aired on MBS every Saturdays from October,4,1987 to October,9,1988 with the total of 51 Episodes.This is the second Kamen Rider series in the 1980's after Kamen Rider Super-1 in 1980 ,the first Kamen Rider series with no scarf that changed into Spandex and the first Kamen Rider series to have a sequel. The story takes place when the step siblings Minami Kotaro and Nobuhiko Akizuki celebrating their 19th birthday until they are kidnapped by Gorgom to experiment and create the Creation King, while they are experimented Minami Kotaro tries to escaped when he meets Battle Hopper to save him from the three Gorgom Followers not until he's attack and changed himself as the Black Sun or Kamen Rider Black.
