Here's another Toku-Timeline as we review all the Tokusatsu series and movies yearly from 1954 on wards. Now we will featured the 1980's for the second year, so let's take back in the year 1981:
Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan is aired on TV Asahi every Saturdays from February,7,1981 to January,30,1982 that completed 50 Episodes. It its the first Trio and all-male Super Sentai Team who are military professionals from Air Force (Vul-Eagle), Navy Force ( Vul-Shark) and Ground Officer (Vul-Panther) assigned by the UN (United Nations). It is also a sequel of the 1980-81 Denshi Sentai Denjiman when Queen Hedria ressurected to aid Black Magma and a Denji People appeared on Sun Vulcan to protect them against Black Magma. It is the first series to have a combining mecha called the Sun Vulcan Robo, the second series after Goranger to used the powerful ball as the finisher and the first series to have two Red rangers first is Ryusuke Ohwashi/ Vul-Eagle 1 from Episode 1 to 23 and succeeded by Takayuki Hiba/ Vul-Eagle from Episode 23 to 50.
Robot 8 Chan is aired on Fuji TV every Sundays from October,4,1981 to September,26,1982 that completed 52 Episodes. It is the first Toei Fushigi Comedy series which is a comedy like action series. It is created by both Shotaro Ishinimori and Toei Production that inspired from the 1973 series Robot Detective. This series is lead by a robot named 8 Chan who came from outer space for a special mission and to figt his main nemesis.
