Toku-Timeline: 1979



Here's another Toku-Timeline as we review all Tokusatsu series and movies debut each year. So let's take back to 1979:



        Battle Fever J is aired on TV Asahi  every Saturdays from February,3,1979 to January,26,1980 that completed 52 Episodes.   Battle Fever J  is the first series that used the term Super Sentai meaning thay are the first Super Sentai series (Before Goranger and Jak Q considered as Super Sentai). Battle Fever J's motif is International dances from Japan (Battle Japan), Soviet Union (Battle Cossack), France (Battle France) , Kenya(Battle Kenya) and USA (Miss America).Battle Fever J is  also the first series to have enlarge kaijins, having a giant robot operated by the group, Tokusatsu series created by both Marvel and Toei, the characters inspired in Marvel's Captain America,  and the only series' concept suceed by the following Super Sentai series until now.


          Ultraman Joneus is aired on TBS every Wednesdays from April,4,1979 to March,26,1980 that completed 50 Episodes.Ultraman Jonias is also called Ultraman J  or Ultraman Joe. This is the first Anime series of Ultraman which has also the same concept with the live-action series. Ultraman Jonias is came from the Planet U40 , he came to earth to fight the giant kaijins and protect the earth, so he is  merged with Hikari Choichiro who was fell in the battle, Now Hikari is revived by Ultraman Joneus he's new mission is to finished all kaijins who want to invade earth.




        Megaloman is aired on Fuji TV  every Mondays from May,7,1979 to December,24,1979  that completed 31 Episodes.  The Megaloman series is created by Toho Productions which has a similar concept to Super Sentai and Ultraman. In the concept of Super Sentai is  the group is composed of five Kung-Fu fighters  lead by Takashi who have the Megalon Bracelets to change Takahashi into Megaloman and the concept of Ultraman is the Megaloman's apperance similar to the Kyodai Hero Ultraman and its monsters of the week.


         Kamen Rider Sky Rider is aired on MBS every Fridays from  October,5,1979 to October,10,1980 that completed 54 Episodes. Kamen Rider Sky Rider is also called The New Kamen Rider or Kamen Rider Shin  that resembles Kamen Rider Ichigou. This is the first Kamen Rider who can fly, the third Kamen Rider to fight against the new Shocker group called the Neo Shocker and the second longest episodes that completed 54 Episodes after the 1971 Kamen Rider Series.
