Toku-Timeline: 1972

          Here's another Toku-Timeline as we review all Tokusatsu series aired every year starting from 1954 onward. So let's take back to 1972.

         Godzilla vs. Giganis premiered on Sunday  March,12,1972. It is created by the TOHO Productions and the twelfth Godzilla Movie since 1954.On this movie Godzilla will protect the earth against the Space Hunter Nebula -M, Gigan and King Ghidorah.

         Kaiketsu Lion Maru is aired every  Saturdays from April,1,1972 to April,7,1973 on Fuji TV that completed 54 Episodes. It is created by P Prodcutions. This series is based on the late 1500's during the Sengoku Period where the three Ninjas traveled around Japan to fight against evil lead by Devil Gosun.

         Henshin Ninja Arashi is aired on Fridays from April ,2,1972 to  February ,23,1973 on NET  that completed 47 Episodes.It is created by Toei and Shotaro Ishinomori . It is the second Ninja Tokusatsu series after 1967 Akakage series. This series is based on Edo Period where Hayate can change himself as a Bridman named Arashi.

         Chojin Barom One is aired every Sundays from April,2,1972 to November,26,1972  on Yomiuri TV  that completed 35 Episodes. It is created by Toei. This is the first Tokusatsu series to be lead by the two-in-one partners and kid motif where Takeshi Kido and Kentaro Shiratori combine and transform into Chojin Barom One.

         Red Man is aired every Mondays from April,3,1972 to September,8,1972 on Nihon TV that completed 38 Episodes . It is created by Tsuburaya Productions. Some of the episodes he fights against Ultraman Kaijins.

        Ultraman Ace is aired every Fridays from April,7,1972 to March,30,1973 on TBS that completed  52 Episodes . It is the fourth Ultraman Series featuring some appearances of previous Ultra Heroes and the Duo combination of men and women in the half of the series.

          Android Kikaider  is aired every Saturdays from  July,8,1972 to May,5,1973 on NET that completed 43 Episodes.This is the second creation of Shotaro Ishinimori aside from Kamen Rider to have a real cyborg motif and one of the foundation of creating Metal Hero particularly the Metalder series in 1987.

         Ike!!! Godman is aired every Thursdays from October 5, 1972 to April 10, 1973 on Nippon TV that completed 52 Episodes . It is the first Kyodai or Giant hero series of TOHO Productions for competing against Tsuburaya's Ultraman series.
