I think the Ninninger's name are not only inspired by the Gorangers' name such as Akaranger, but also this series called Akakage.Akakage is aired wayback 1967 in Fuji TV produced by Toei. This is the first colored Tokusatsu series based on 1500's fighting against different villains and kaijins.So that means the Ninningers' name such a Akaninger,Aoninger and Shironinger are tribute for Akakage's character Akakage,Aokage and Shirokage.So here's the video of this 1967 series:
Anyway here's the anime version created in 1987 entitled Kamen no Akakage, 20 years after Akakage was aired.
