Here's another Tokusatsu Throwbacks as we remembered some Tokusatsu series aired from 40 years to 10 years ago. Now let's take back to the year 1979 where the beginnings of Super Sentai and Kamen Rider series dominated the whole Tokusatsu genre until now.
The First Recognized Super Sentai series Battle Fever J is aired from February, 3, 1979 to January, 26, 1980 , which is aired every Saturdays that composed of 52 episodes which is the 4th longest Episodes to air.This series represents different countries also their dances to fight against EGOS. This is the first series to have mecha and enlargement of kaijins.
Toho Series (Creators of Godzilla,Guyferd and Gransazers) Hono no Chojin Megaloman is aired from May 7 to December 24 1979 which is aired every Mondays that composed of 31 episodes.This series is mixed of Super Sentai and Ultraman like concept.There are space kung-fu group and the Red leader transformed into Megaloman.This is one of the foundations for Toho for creating Chou Sei Shin series from 2003 to 2006.
Kamen Rider Sky Rider is aired from October , 5, 1979 to October,10,1980 which is aired every Fridays , composed of 54 episodes.This is the second longest Kamen Rider series aired.The series is entitled Kamen Rider ,when it returns on TV since Kamen Rider Stronger ended in 1976, but this one is still considered as Sky Rider.
