There are some reasons why Power Rangers is a CERTIFIED BOOTLEG # 1 ( By Guyferd 20)

Well, imitating a sentai is one thing. Imitation of a series that is supposed to be a tribute to sentai is another. Yes Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger's spirit because the imitation from Saban is a gross disrespect to other sentais before Zyuranger. I doubt that it's aim is to educate but to MISLEAD THE PEOPLE. And by the way, the other author still FAILED TO GIVE A PROPER DEFINITION OF ADAPTATION.

I cannot detect an iota of common sense on the other post. Power rangers is an obvious IMITATION OF SENTAI USING SENTAI'S STOCK FOOTAGES. The only difference is THE IMITATION BECAME LEGAL DUE TO THE LICENSING MADE BY SABAN. Yes Toei is earning money with the licensing made by Saban and so does Bandai but the opposit effect is that SENTAIS before ZYURANGER WERE UNJUSTLY BRANDED AS POWER RANGERS.

Again, the other post FAILED TO DEFINE WHAT ADAPTATION IS. As defined by Dramaticapedia "ADAPTATION IS THE PROCESS OF TRANSLATING OF A STORY FROM ONE MEDIUM TO THE ANOTHER." Does Power Rangers fall to the TECHNICAL DEFINITION OF ADAPTATION? HELL NO! The MEDIUM IS THE SAME BUT THE STORY IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT. Power Rangers is much fit to be called A REMAKE, IN OTHER WORDS, RIP-OFF. Even though there is an agreement on both Toei and Saban, the fact remains that POWER RANGERS IS NOT AN ADAPTATION BY DEFINITION.

In legal sense, Saban has bought the rights to use the footages of Super Sentai to create Power Rangers. But what we are talking about here is THE SUBSTANCE ITSELF. Substantially speaking, POWER RANGERS STILL USE FOOTAGES FROM SENTAI. Thus by SUBSTANCE, POWER RANGERS IS INDEED AN IMITATION OF SUPER SENTAI.

Well if Power Rangers is made in the first place for American audiences then why did Saban even brought it to countries outside the US? Sentai shows were already broadcasted in different parts of the world like The Philippines, Brazil, France, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia among others and they were dubbed in to their local languages. And the impact are just that phenomenal. Sentai and other tokusatsu programs even became pop cultural icons in the said countries. If Power Rangers is made for American audience then let it stay in America.

If that is the case then Power Rangers should have just stayed in America instead. Let us mention again countries like The Philippines, Brazil, France, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Their culture is way different than Japan but through dubbing of certain sentai shows and other tokusatsu programs, the shows from Japan was somewhat localized into the said countries and even became pop culture icons in the said countries. Sentai is not much of a pop cultural icon? Then why is it that in the countries like the Philippines, Brazil, France, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, they became icons? Tailor fit into one's culture? These countries already did that by DUBBING. And what is the result? The result is phenomenal. The hell with American culture! We already had a lot of them with their movies and others. Let us came back with the last part of this post.

Wrong use of the word ADAPTATION AGAIN. The other post continually MIS-USE it to justify Power Rangers but by technical definition, Power Rangers does not fall on it.

I agree that PR shouldn't be forced on all countries, I generally get more into Sentai nowadays, but there's no need to use such awful language. Moderate swearing is normal for adults but to bring sexuality into it will not make you look clever.
