I hold the Tokusatsu of the Month for the meanwhile to give way to this special topic ,no other than the traditional Trio-tag Team that starts after the anniversary series.This is started when Gaoranger celebrates 25th anniversary,which includes GoRanger and JakQ Dengeki Tai.After GaoRanger ended Toei try to bring back the Trio tag team since they create it on Liveman wayback 1988,meaning for almost 14 years.
This is the second Trio Tag series came after the previous one,which is only the difference was the color switch between Blue and Yellow,as you remember Blue for Gal and Yellow for Guy,changes into Blue Guy and a Yellow gal.The regular team was only four including Black as their captain like ranger,then join by the notorious White Ranger AbareKiller.This is the first series having talking dino buddies just like Digimons.This is having similarities to Zyuranger,Dynaman and Sun Vulcan as I see on the whole series,Zyuranger's Dino Motif,Dynaman's explosion theme like which they called ABARE!! and Sun Vulcan used Trio Tag team for a long time.
Gekiranger is another Trio Tag series after the finale of 30th Super Sentai Series GouGou Sentai Boukenger.This is one of my favorite Sentai series that reminds me about Maskman series with an upgrades .This is the first Sentai series with a conflict with other considered rangers such as Rio (Black) and Mele (Green) in an Martial Arts Technique wars to influence the whole wide world.Gekiranger was mix of Maskman,Dairanger and Liveman : Maskman's Aura Power,fighting techniques,Mechas and Kensei same to Sugata;Liveman's conflicts between different ideas and beliefs,betrayal and revenge and additional rangers with a different attitude to the trio;and Dairanger's Chi Power,Powerful Beast Animals,Kaijin's evil techniques and Gorma's scum same to RinJyuken.
Next is the second trio-tag team after Gekiranger ,the Engine Sentai Go-onger which is cuter,enjoying and the best series I've ever watched.This is the first Sentai who have trio Red,Blue and Yellow ,followed by Black and Green into regular Five Sentai team till the two Gold and Silver join Go-ongers into one powerful team.This is the first mecha combined 3 is to 1,6 is to 1 ,9 into 1 and 12 is to 1.Which is the total of 4 mechas that combined into 1 powerful Engine G12.Go-onger have similarities to Liveman,Turboranger,Carranger and Abaranger.Liveman's concern to Science particularly Ecology,the trio to five,Black and Green as additional rangers,the mecha combination same to Liveman mechas,Colon's counterpart,villains same to Bias cronies and Brain Powered monster is equal to Gaiark Monsters.;Turboranger's automobile motif;Carranger's Naughtiness and personality;and Abaranger's talking partners.
And the last is the current Trio tag team in 2010's no other than Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters.This series is focus on swat team and spy,that battle life-formed materials created by unknown virus together with carbon copies which is Megazord.This is the first series with an additional rangers which is a human and a mecha as his BuddyRoid.Go-Busters have similarities to Bioman,Liveman,Dekaranger,and Go-onger: Bioman's gigantic villains called MechaGigons;LiveMan's evil science created kaijins ,Dekaranger's investigation activities. and Go-ongers buddy partners.
For the next Sentai series for 2013-2014 would be either Dinosaur or legendary beasts motif...for Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuuger .This would be the second trio-tag for 2010's and what additional rangers include on the trio maybe 2 or another 3 just watch for the updates.
