For almost 37 years,this franchise featured variety of 5 colors plus some additionals to make the series brighter than a five star team.This is also aired alongside different genres of Tokusatsu such as Kamen Rider,Metal Hero,Ultraman and other Tokusatsu heroes,but it's still remain.In every year,they featured different teams with different motifs,profession and interets.And we learn in every year what is the lesson of every teams just like, students,martial artists,soldiers,non-earthlings,magicians,adventurers,Ninjas'secret organizations and ordinary people just to protect earth against invaders from space,sky,land,sea,underground and differemt dimensions who attempt to rule the blue planet.
Super Sentai Franchise is totally started in the year 1979,when Battle Fever J a International dancers task force started to fight against an evil syndicates,this also the first series with a mecha.But in mid-90s between 1995 or 1996,Goranger together with Jak Q is considered as the pioneers of the franchise when Gaoranger started the all-star team with Red Rangers in 2001.As you observe from 1975 onwards it's still running with colors and idolized by many.
Let's start from the 70's.From Goranger to JakQ they combat against evil syndicates that attempt to conquer earth,in every episodes features different missions,and them are both from secret organizations.They also create the first crossover series in 1978,17 years after Ohranger vs. Kakuranger follow the thread until now.Battle Fever J is first to introduced the Mecha when the Kaijin turn into large,This series represents different countries with their respective dances to kick some ass.
In the 80's Super Sentai series has more improvements in weapons,mecha,arsenals and story that catch more audiences.Start from the 1980 series Denziman that features color line-up same as Goranger,this series introduced first transfromed mecha piloted by 5 .In 1981 Sun Vulcan is the first trio team without a female,they are miltary professionals such as Red from Sky,Blue from Sea and Yellow from Land,they combat together with their first combined mecha,this series also the starting career of Akira Kushida in singing,also the foundation of Liveman,Hurricanger,Abaranger,Gekiranger,Go-onger and the current Gobusters for the trio team.In 1982 Goggle Five is the last non-scarf team and the first color line-up of Red,Black,Blue,Yellow and Pink together with their younger buddies,they are ordinary people with the power of gemstones.In 1983 Dynaman introduced the first non-scarf team,and using the spandex,their suits is based from a Baseball jersey,They are composed of scientists who protect the earth against Jashinka empire,It is the first sentai that piloted a mecha all together.In 1984 Bioman introduced the first female yellow ranger,which is resulted to 2 females,This is the first sentai series that not confront any Non-giant kaijins only those giants called mechagigons.In 1985 Changeman is featured the first female white ranger,this are composed of 5 without a yellow ranger,they are composed of soldiers who chosen to be Changeman,they introduced a large cannon that divided into weapons,by the way it is second among the longest episodes composed of 55 and the first debut of Hinorobu Kageyama in singing career.In 1986 Flashman is the first sentai which is came from other planets just to find their parents,they introduced different powers which they learned from their grown-up planet,this series first introduced the second mecha which is called the Flash King.In 1987 Maskman is the first series that introduced five piece mecha,and a love story plot between the earthling and an underground princess,they introduced different Martial Arts which have their own aura power,It also introduced the first sixth ranger,X-1 Mask which is appeared only one episode.In 1988 Liveman introduced the 3 team 2 join later motif which is repeated in 2000's,This series is the first animal mecha, first female Blue Ranger,the Black with Green team-up which is the second on the sentai line-up,the combining the ultimate robot which is the Super Live Robo and the conflict of 2 groups.In 1989 the last but not the least Turboranger,This is the first student group which has destined to defeat the Boma empire,this series is the first using the word ranger,first to combine 5 in the secondary robot and introduced the based robot,This series is the first who celebrate the 10th anniversary of Super Sentai from Battle Fever J.
In the 90's Super Sentai series introduced different mechas,regular sixth rangers ,mecha rangers,improved stories and crossover movies.Start with 1990 when Fiveman a Teacher-Sibling team introduced super forms,improvised based robot and ultimate tag-team of a Super Sentai.In 1991 Jetman introduced a line-up with a female blue ranger and a male yellow ranger in a 5 member sentai that is also followed in Magiranger,This series has also introduced a buddy robot to help him against Jigen monsters,introduced 5 planes combined into an armada then turn into mecha,This series is dramatic than Maskman,by the way this is the last Sentai airedin the Philippines before the xerox copied Power Rangers unleashed.In 1992 Zyuranger is first adapted in US which is called the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,this series is composed of legendary warriors from the Dinosaur period,they introduced the first sixth ranger which is DragonRanger Burai and the first Ultimate combination of a mecha and the first weapon combined canon which is a called the howling canon.In 1993 Dairanger introduced the youngest sixth ranger which is only 9 years old,this series is alo dramatic,it is also introduced the first red piece dragon turned into a mecha.In 1994 Kakuranger is the 3rd longest Sentai series composed of 53 episodes and introduced the second all-star teamup from Fiveman to Dairanger,they introduced also the five mecha by respective rangers and the first female leader.In 1995 Ohranger introduced different head armament in a mecha,an all-star five team combo finishers and variety of mecha pieces and the first team-up with a previos series like Kakuranger.In 1996 Carranger introduce primary and secondary five piece mecha,and the first sixth ranger robo to help with them,this is the first foot soldiers with pastel color,funniest villains and their based was only a bar,the Carrangers are employees of Pegasus Car shop.In 1997 Megaranger ,is the first to used a flying vehicle called the cyber slider,used a one piece mecha and combined in another vehicle,student's computer club and based on the computer game,by the way it is the foundation of Kamen Rider Fourze.In 1998 Gingaman is the first series that introduced a sixth ranger turned into a giant and combined with another robot,,the descendant of previous Gingaman and the first one who use their powers according to their elements.In 1999 GoGo V is the creation of the last year of a century and a millenium,they first introduced the most ferocious kaijins,a villain family and a five piece based robot.
In 2000's Super Sentai introduced crossovers with past Sentai teams,additional arsenals,additional rangers and 10 to 12 piece mecha.In the start of 21st Century and the 3rd Millenium,In year 2000 Time Ranger started the 2 Red Rangers such as TimeRed and TimeFire,the 5 piece mecha turn in 2 modes,time traveling and the drama between the present and the future.In 2001 Gaoranger started the first Sentai team-up together with past Sentai members,introduced different arsenals and improved story.In 2002 Hurricanger introduced the different weapons in the ball,the use of -ger instead of range theintroduction of other rangers such as Gouraiger which is composed of Crimson Red and Navy Blue,and the Sixth ranger with different personalities.In 2003 Abaranger introduced the three piece mecha that can combine with different arsenals,and arsenals combined into one mecha,they also introduced a non-regular pink ranger and the return of second mode called AbareGuts.In 2004 Dekaranger introduced the first alien ranger which is DekaMaster,the return of super form called the Swat mode ,the mecha turned into a canon and additional rangers with a total of 10.In 2005 Magiranger introduced a first family team and ,the first ranger that turn into a giant and turn into a mecha.In 2006 Boukenger introduced the 10 piece mecha,battle against 4 villains,introduce an extra ranger called Akared,the joining of the sixth ranger together with a mecha ranger Zuban and a featured past sentai teams at the end of the episode.In 2007 Gekiranger introduced the first villain ranger such as Rio and Mele,the combination of Geki Jyuken (Good) and Rin Jyuken (Evil) powers into one robot,the first violet ranger and the color match with a Kamen Rider series like Den-O.In 2008 Go-onger introduced the first 12 piece mecha,the Four,Three mecha pieces into one and can combine any of them,introducing different worlds and 2 additionals such as Go-on Gold and Silver of Go-on Wings.In 2009 Shinkenger introduced the first female Red Ranger,the foot soldiers turned into giants,the armaments combination turned into canon and first two forms of a Sentai.
In 2010's there's a lot of surprises and improved stories on this first three sentai teams this decade. In 2010 Goseiger is based on the year 2010 meaning the word ten or tengoku in Japanese is heaven,which has also a word of tenshi means angel in Japanese,this series introduced Brajira the first villain who roled in 3 empires until he reveals his true identity as a fallen angel,an all-star arsenal into one mecha, a sixth ranger robot turned into a mecha,and the first who used cards as powers.In 2011 Gokaiger is the first series who use past sentai mecha pieces as the Gokaigers armament,use Sentai member forms as they battle and they all pirated,it's exactly a motif on this anniversary series,just because they imitate a past sentai members,it's also have the first sixth ranger in two modes,one is the normal mode and one is the Gold mode that mix with past sixth ranger powers.Now in the year 2012 a 36th Super Sentai series is unleashed this February,26,2012 entitled the Tokumei Sentai Gobusters,this is the first sentai who didn't used the -ger word,and the first sentai with mecha partners in normal form.

So that is all of my review.I would say about this franchise is totally strong and cannot beaten by any genres,and imitated in their competitors even in the other countries as the inspiration of new genre of Superheroes.Remember, THE MORE THE STRONGER,THE BETTER,THE MERRIER.
