I know we really miss those series that bring us our childhood days brighter, but why we don't try fresh series since the Jetman is the last sentai aired in the Philippines.
Today sentai is shrinking due to the release of its copycat counterpart Power Rangers. During 1995 it has a bad conflict to ourselves between sentai and power rangers even other kids before don't know about the word sentai they know Bioman,Maskman or Turboranger maybe but it seems really conflict to choose what is the real or the fake.
I really know the sentai last aired is Maskman and Bioman every sunday morning until its wiped out because government buy the TV station were the series aired, even the cable channel Solar was also wiped out. Since then from 7 years Maskman was re-aired again on Hero Channel, yeah we miss it but don't you think there was also sentai series instead of Maskman?
Sorry if I say this, I know this is our foundation being a tokusatsu fan but don't you think we gonna stick with it and explore another series with a fresh concept. Are we contented of this stupid media limit our minds watching the old series? I say this it doesn't mean I don't like classic tokusatsu, but I like to change their airing particularly on a sentai series from Zyuranger onwards because Toei is very stupid promoting power rangers than super sentai, correct me if I'm wrong because they want their sales grow on a big and rich country called USA instead promoting its own series.
Here in the Philippines are they getting tired airing power rangers instead of sentai or and old school maybe why they don't try new sentai series just like Timeranger,Dekaranger or Gekiranger they were also same and highly equiped,upgrade and also improved story than the previous one, that's why there's no progress in other tokusatsu fans only stick with classics.Being a tokusatsu fan were not also stick with one series but all series should be known and explored like a Boukenger find different precious on a tokusatsu series.
The one who's affects of this situation is our fellow tokusatsu fans stick with only shaider,maskman or kamen rider black and not explored something new, just like my high school friend hardly appreciated those new series like Goseiger due to limitation,shrinked time-slot,unfinished series and stereotype by the commoners . I'm not blaming them but I blamed our media being limited with these genre and Fagdrama was all over aired instead.
