Toku-Timeline: 1980




          Here's another Toku-Timeline as we review all the Tokusatsu series and movies yearly from 1954 on wards. Now here's our review of Tokusatsu series and movies aired in  1980's , so let's take back  on the first  year of the decade  which is 1980:


         Denshi Sentai Denjiman is aired on TV Asahi every Saturdays from February,2,1980 to March,31,1981 that completed 51 Episodes. It is the Second Super Sentai series created by both Toei and Marvel Productions after Battle Fever J, it is the second series until it become the fourth series when Goranger and Jak Q is recognized as Super Sentai. It is the first Super Sentai series to have a transforming robot called DaiDenjin, First to have a non-human ally which is a talking dog assistant named IC, and the second series used the starting line-up of Goranger  which is five years ago.



        Ultraman 80   is aired on TBS every Wednesdays from  April,2,1980 to March,25,1981 that completed 50 Episodes . This is the eight Ultraman series that suceeded Ultraman Joneus Anime Series. After Ultraman Leo ended in 1975  the Tsuburaya series returned to create another Ultraman series which is Ultraman 80 that is based as a new generation of a hero of the 80's.



       X-Bomber  is aired on Fuji TV every Saturdays from October,4,1980 to  March,28,1981 that completed 26 Episodes. It is the marionette Tokusatsu series created by the Manga creator Go Nagai together with Cosmo Productions and Jin Productions. It has similarities to Super Sentai series to have a special task force from space plus a powerful mecha,it is also influenced by the Star Wars Movie and Super Robot Anime series.



         Kamen Rider Super-1  is aired on MBS every Fridays from October,17,1980 to October,3,1981 that completed 48 Episodes . Kamen Rider Super-1 is the first series to introduced a cyborg created in the USA with the help of International Space Development Program, first to introduced different elemental powers through the help of Power Gloves.
